You were nothing more than a hungry ghost
Devouring anything you could get your hands on.
Even though you tried,
I was too much for you to consume.
Between my legs exists the power of Life and Death,
and truth is encoded in the blood that drips down my thighs.
My body is a portal for creation.
Yet, you asked me to hide her.
You looked at me with disgust
and told me to cover up,
and to keep my mouth shut.
You tried to silence me
because my very existence was the constant reminder that
you are weak.
Incapable of your own vitality,
you felt the need to take.
Every time you tried to take from me,
the truth of my nakedness
~my expression, my body, and my blood~
illuminated every shadow you spent your life trying to avoid.
And even though I'm gone,
these shadows will remain
as the ghosts forever haunting you.
